BERLIN -- Freiburg goalkeeper Oliver Baumann endured a dreadful afternoon Sunday as his three mistakes presented visitors Hamburger SV with a 3-0 win in the Bundesliga. Baumann misjudged a long ball from Milan Badelj and failed to clear after emerging outside the penalty area, allowing Maximilian Beister to open the scoring in the 37th minute. Two minutes after the interval, Baumann again found himself outside the penalty area for Rafael van der Vaarts hopeful punt forward. The goalkeeper waited, then fumbled and Pierre-Michel Lasogga swooped to fire into the empty net. Baumann also spilled Beisters straightforward shot to let Van der Vaart score in the 63rd. "The actions didnt work out as Id imagined they would. You have to cope with it, were human," Bauman said. "My confidence isnt affected. Sure, its a (bad) situation but ... we have to stay calm, shouldnt go crazy." Baumann redeemed himself somewhat with a good save in a one-on-one with Ivo Ilicevic late on, before both Freiburg and Hamburg players consoled the goalkeeper after the match. "They told me they were sorry for me. Lasogga and Beister are good sorts. It was nice of them," Baumann said of his former Germany under-21 teammates. Freiburg coach Christian Streich said hed speak with the goalkeeper on Monday. "Ive experienced many things in the last few weeks that Ive never before experienced in football," Streich said. Freiburg remains second from bottom, one of two sides yet to win after 10 rounds of the Bundesliga. Hamburg climbs to 12th after two wins and two draws since Bert van Marwijk was appointed coach. "We deserved to win. We created plenty of other chances to score," said Van Marwijk. "Of course, we were lucky with the goals." Borussia Moenchengladbach defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1 later Sunday to move fourth, nine points adrift of the top three. Juan Arango got Gladbach off the mark with a free kick in the 11th, only for Stefan Aigner to equalize four minutes later when Marc-Andre ter Stegen was fortunate that advantage was played after a clear foul on Vaclav Kadlec. Had referee Felix Zwayer awarded the penalty, he would have been forced to send the goalkeeper off, but he awarded the score after Aigner fired home the loose ball from close range. Oscar Wendt restored the home sides advantage three minutes later with a fine strike inside the near post after playing a one-two with Raffael. Patrick Herrmann effectively decided the game, shooting inside the bottom left corner on the hour, and then setting-up Raffaels goal six minutes later after a well-worked move involving Julian Korb. "It was OK, it was good," said Gladbach coach Lucien Favre, who played down his sides chances of ending the season in fourth. "There are many other teams who will be challenging too. You have Schalke, you have Wolfsburg, its very close. The team in 14th (Frankfurt) has national team players. We have to stay grounded." On Saturday, league leader Bayern Munich was made to work hard for a 3-2 win over Hertha Berlin, while Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen stayed one point behind with wins over Schalke and Augsburg, respectively. On Tuesday, the Miami Marlins gave him some help after he left the game. Maybe the Marlins really are improved. Eovaldi pitched six innings and Miami made the most of five hits to beat the Colorado Rockies for the second night in a row, 4-3. The Marlins 2-0 start is a big change from last year, when they began 14-41 en route to a 100-loss season. "Its all in the past," Eovaldi said. "Its a completely different team." Eovaldi has endured the worst run support in the majors since 2011, but the Marlins went ahead to stay after he came out of the game, scoring two runs in the sixth. Miamis bullpen did the rest. A.J. Ramos struck out Nolan Arenado with runners at the corners to end the eighth, protecting a one-run lead. Steve Cishek converted his 30th consecutive save opportunity and first of the year by pitching a perfect ninth. "That shows how were going to play," Ramos said. "Were going to score runs, and when we do get the lead, were going to hold it. Weve got guys in the bullpen that can come in after anybody and clean up a situation. Its reassuring, and it shows everybody that we are a totally different team this year." For the Rockies, the 0-2 start seems like more of the same after they finished last in the NL West in 2013. "We didnt get the big hit late," manager Walt Weiss said. "Bottom line is we have to find a way to tie that game or take the lead." Miamis rotation -- the youngest in the majors -- stifled the Rockies for the second game in a row. Eovaldi (1-0) allowed two runs and struck out six after Jose Fernandez limited Colorado to one run in the season opener. Eovaldi gave up six hits, walked one and reached 99 mph on the radar gun. The crowd of 15,906 made for a more subdued atmosphere than Mondays opener, which Miami won 10-1. Newcomer Casey McGehee singled home the Marlins final runn and has five RBIs in the first two games.dddddddddddd The Marlins had a hit in only two innings, but through two games theyre batting .526 (10 for 19) with runners in scoring position. Giancarlo Stanton made several nice catches in right field, and Jeff Bakers hard slide broke up a potential double play to keep the Marlins sixth-inning rally going. "Were playing the right way," manager Mike Redmond said. "Guys are getting after it." Redmond came onto the field to question a call on a close play at first base in the fifth inning, but his conversation with umpire Mike DiMuro was polite. After receiving a signal from his staff that the ruling was correct, Redmond told DiMuro he didnt want a video review. "I said, Hey, you got it. Im out of here," Redmond said. Regarding the new replay system, he said: "Its more peaceful." Brett Anderson (0-1) pitched six innings and allowed four runs, three earned. It was the left-handers first start with the Rockies after he was acquired in a trade with Oakland in December. Miami went ahead for good in Andersons final inning. Reed Johnson pinch-hit for Eovaldi and led off with a double. He advanced on a groundout and scored when Stanton hit into a forceout. Stanton advanced on a throwing error by second baseman D.J. LeMahieu, stole third and scored on McGehees two-out single. NOTES: Colorados Troy Tulowitzki went into the hole at shortstop to rob Marcell Ozuna of a hit on a grounder in the fifth. ...
